After almost a decade at Gourmet Magazine, where I got to travel the world in search of the best food, I realized that the way we eat right here is not just down-home country cooking, but is world-class food and the picture of what American food can be. I’ve been re-discovering and revitalizing my family’s local food traditions by way of our Pennsylvania farm and try to spread the word about great food through my cookbook; magazines and news papers like The Wall Street Journal, Men’s Health, Bon Appetit; and through my PBS series The Farm which airs in 2013.
